by julia quinn January 02, 2020

Sooooo is it too early to be thinking about winter 2020? I don't know about you but as soon as we hit the New Year I'm like WHAT'S NEW??? I'm so excited for new trends.

Let's start with Pantone colour of the year... Classic Blue.

Now I have to admit I'm not a super fan, well I wasn't! it was just so boring (you know I don't do boring) and also very corporate in my eyes...but I may have changed my mind.

Let's go on this Classic Blue journey together.

Here's what Pantone said...

A timeless and enduring blue hue, PANTONE 19-4052 Classic Blue is elegant in its simplicity. Suggestive of the sky at dusk, the reassuring qualities of the thought-provoking PANTONE 19-4052 Classic Blue highlight our desire for a dependable and stable foundation on which to build as we cross the threshold into a new era.

This is what I say...

Classic Blue works really well with other colours! after a little research on colour trends 2020. I have come up with my very colour trends chart - noice hey? I feel like it kinda acts like an anchor pulling all these colours together. Playing around with all the combinations it's like a best friend - compliments you without stealing the show.

So what about textural trends for winter you say?

Well, people, it's RICH it's LUXE it's EARTHY... think sued, velvet, stone, gold

What am I inspired by?

FLORALS oh baby you know I love a good floral - and this winter it's more is more and moodier the better!

Have you noticed a real trend with dried flowers and fernery lately? I feel like it's the THING in flowers at the moment - I'm 100% inspired and love that they can be died to create such vibrant rich colours.

SO what am I going to do with these florals? Ummm top secret but here is a hint.

I totally match my outfit to my colour scheme! I mean why wouldn't you?

Coming along!

Guys, I'm so obsessed - are you?
